Middle School

Middle school is a critical stage of a child’s educational development. Many “in-between-agers” struggle with new social pressures and the increased academic load. At Knowledge Quest Academy (KQA), our smaller class sizes enable more one-on-one learning time, allowing students to question concepts and reinforce their understanding.

Our middle school teachers understand both the academic and social/emotional needs of the early adolescent. You can expect KQA teachers to deliver excellent instruction and serve as a support person for your child throughout this developmental phase. The KQA middle school provides an excellent foundation for student learning and eases the transition to high school. There are two classes in each middle school grade level.

Student learning is assessed throughout the year to direct individualized student achievement, and we encourage students to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities including sports, clubs, and our student leadership program, which positions select students as role models and leaders for school activities.

KQA teachers employ a number of strategies to keep students engaged. Our content-rich Core Knowledge® curriculum sequence (founded by E.D. Hirsch, Jr.) is the guidepost for our lesson plans and provides our students with an enhanced vocabulary and broad knowledge base on which future instruction can build, broaden, and deepen. At KQA, we take pride in our inclusive nature and encourage parents to become involved and play an active role within our school.
