Core Knowledge® Curriculum Sequence
A Core Knowledge school, Knowledge Quest Academy (KQA) teaches language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, fine arts, and physical education under the guiding idea that knowledge builds on knowledge. The curriculum sequence, founded by E.D. Hirsch, Jr., entails teaching in such a way that over the years, children build on what they learned in the previous years.
According to Core Knowledge, an early education curriculum should be:

- Specific
- Shared
- Sequenced
Using the Core Knowledge sequence as a guide leads to academic excellence, fairness, and literacy. Regardless of experience or socioeconomic background, students of the Core Knowledge curriculum should ultimately share a knowledge base that will give them a place in our national literate culture.
