Hello - my name is Mrs. Amanda McCosh and I am in my tenth year of teaching here at Knowledge Quest Academy (since the doors first opened in the fall of '02). I graduated from college in the fall of 2001 from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Music Education - an emphasis on keyboard studies. Being the music teacher at KQA was my first job right out of college after moving in spring of '02 with my new husband, Dustin, from Chapman, Kansas. My first year here was spent as the part-time music teacher, then in my second year I was asked to be the art teacher and in my third year I also added being the gifted and talented coordinator for the school. I taught art at KQA for five years. As the school has grown I was no longer able to do both music and art and have had to give up teaching art much to my disappointment. However, I enjoy teaching what I love - music. I received my Master of Arts in Special Education: Gifted and Talented from the University of Northern Colorado in 2006. In January of 2010, my husband and I had our daughter, Sophia. We now live in Greeley with our dog, Rex and our cat, Oscar. I have enjoyed working at KQA for the past ten years and look forward to many more. The students, parents and teachers are amazing at this school and make working at Knowledge Quest amazing.
