A Colorado native and graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Mrs. Wallace has been teaching at KQA since 2007. This is a second career for Mrs. Wallace who graduated with a degree in Communication and Journalism and has spent most of her adult life in the field of publishing, marketing and advertising. For nine years she was the director of advertising and marketing for "Los Angles Lawyer" magazine. She also holds a real estate license, and has been the marketing and membership manager of the Greeley Country Club. A love of children and an empty nest prompted her to change careers and become a teacher. While currently teaching fifth grade at KQA, Mrs. Wallace is also a frequent columnist for the "Greeley Tribune" after winning a writing contest sponsored by the paper.
Mrs. Wallace is married to Mark Wallace M.D. MPH, Director of the Weld County Department of Health and Environment. She has two grown daughters, Tessa and Tara and a dog named Comet. She enjoys the mountains, reading, playing tennis and writing.
